Michael focuses his practice on civil litigation, transactions, and oil and gas litigation. He has represented clients in state and federal courts in a variety of matters, including lease and contract disputes, tort claims, and property claims. Michael has experience at all stages of the litigation process, including drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, and appellate briefs, conducting discovery, negotiating settlements, and advocating at mediations, hearings and trials.
Michael advises a wide variety of clients in all aspects of commercial real estate, including acquisition, disposition, financing, development, and leasing of commercial properties. His practice also includes work on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings and other private securities offerings, private equity transactions, and general corporate counseling. Michael has represented acquirers and target companies in a variety of industries.

Successfully represented publicly traded natural gas producer in arbitration proceedings initiated by another producer seeking approximately $5 million in damages for claims involving alleged breaches of drilling commitments under a farmout agreement.
